Call to Arms for all young, strong and fit Town fans!

Forget about the local gym or going for a jog, come down to Cantilever Park and help Adam Halford, Groundsman, with reseeding the pitch!

There is a lot to do and very little time, so even a little of your time will go a long way!

Tuesday night, the combined ages of the 2 volunteers who lent a hand was more than 100 years and their aching bodies prove it.

Now if any of you are young at heart and want to build up your fitness levels come and lend a hand.

Call Adam on 07749 253 308 to check when is the best time for you to chip in for a couple of hours FREE body building!

Seriously guys, if you spent last season bemoaning the condition of the pitch, now is the time to use some bigger muscles than your lips!

Note:

Next definite session is on Thursday 17th May 2012 between 5.30 - 7.30 PM. Bring a friend!

    NT League Cup Final

    Sun 6th May 2012

TOWN 4  : FC United of Manchester 1

Scorers: James Daniels, James Anderson, Dylan Glass (2)

Warrington Town's youth team celebarted a thrilling 4-1 league cup victory over FC United of Manchester at Salford, lifting silverware in their first competative season.

Two goals from James Daniels gave the young Wire a 2-1 half time advantage with second half efforts from Dylan Glass and James Anderson cementing a memorable victory in front of a sizeable crowd at Salford City.

It rounded off a fine first season for manager Chris Wells' team which has provided a number of players for the first team squad throughout the season.

The margin of victory could have been even greater had Glass not squandered an opportunity in front of goal with Oliver Wells also seeing a fine strike well saved by the United keeper.

In a tough physical encounter Warrington lost skipper George Emson, who was forced to limp off after a strong challenge but he hobbled back at the end of the game to lift the cup and celebrate with his team mates.

United were much fancied before kick off as the existing league champions, who have won through to three cup finals this season but Warrington stood up to the challenge, emerging with great credit to lift the Neil Thomason Cup.

    Warrington Town Team:

Vaughan, Kavanagh, Corcoran, Emson (Cook 20'), Everson, Winrow, Wells, Daniels, Glass, Bakkor (Chambers 65'), Anderson (McWilliams 85')

Subs not used: Bandell, Gordon Reserve: Bibby
